Mau-Mauing the Mockers

February 5th, 2010

Amy Kane slays with her recent post highlighting a “bloody effin brilliant” satirical music video by SOOMO Publishing. I urge you to drop by and follow every link she’s listed and join in the conversation concerning our own declaration of independence… and “kickin’ it into the 21st century!” Join in the conversation, contribute, comment. So then friends, get off your “effin apathy” and do something – at the very least, join in the conversation.

Cheers all, and Thank you Amy Kane!

I can’t believe how happy that effin brilliant video made me. When I found it, at American Digest then sisu, I felt like: this is it! we’re still the grownups but now we get to be the fun ones too. Reaction from the high school kid was delightfully positive. After last trimester sitting through the irrational socialistic bilge of “American History” as it is now taught.

@Amy I’m entirely with you on being astonished at how happy and nearly weepy eyed this little video made me! I like the idea of being grownups, and yet – still fun. Watching my daughters’ reactions to the video was precisely that – “delightfully positive.” I so terribly want the kids I know to be engaged based on a firm understanding of their country’s history. Hopefully, they’re engaged enough to change the way we teach our next generation.

Cheers Amy, and thanks again 😀
