Stony River’s Microfiction Monday #2

January 4th, 2010

And here’s the triggering town:

[cindylouwho22.jpg]

The beach -the social mix was much less…

Guess my cut, tank, Levis and boots just won’t do-

I like my bike and your bikini better – on you

There you have it, Monday’s whimsy. Make sure you visit Susan over at Stony River and wish her well – it’s been a tough week. I think I’ll keep trying out these little Monday bits of fun because – well, I need it! πŸ˜€ The vacation’s over, and it’s time to start writing about my usual fare. It seems to be somewhere in the area of f aux science, or science and democracy, or Max Weber and his depressing notions of scientific administration… hmmm, see you on Thursday folks.

Cheers!

P.S. I’ve got to get serious, my wife is hitting her targets from much farther… I’d best further my understanding – of women at the very least πŸ˜›

I loved it, so much story and setting brought out in just a few words —
And must admit to loving that PS too!
    LOL
    Happy Monday! Goodbye holidays!

Son of a son of a sailor:

This is my first time here and I sure like what I see.
Your take on Susan’s picture is really really good!
I will be back to read more!
Nice to meet you btw. πŸ™‚

Loved you story. It was great. Your PS was something else. I’d further my understanding as well πŸ™‚

    Fun, isn’t it?

And I like your wardrobe much better than this fashionista’s! Have a good week!

@Susan at Stony River Thank you Susan. I believe my wife thinks that P.S. should be a continuing education requirement for marriage πŸ˜‰

@Peggy Thanks for dropping by Peggy. Been round to visit several of you via Stony River and that Mr. Linky thingy. I stumbled upon Susan’s site via My Nasty Romance – been a fan of his writing for quite some time. Now I’ve a few more writers to envy πŸ™‚

@Mama Zen Thank you Mama Zen ~ I like that name πŸ˜‰

@Thom Thanks Thom ~ yup, those intriguing creatures are worth the study… hehehe:P

@hope It is quite fun!! Playing with words in a constrained space… it’s almost like prose haiku πŸ˜€ About thirty-six years ago I was driving by this beach on my Sportster – a gal in a yellow bikini was life-guarding… I married her! Gotta say, I’m a fan of minimalism at the beach πŸ˜‰

I think she’s wearing the bikini underneath the dangerous dress…

    Nicely done!

Great Story! I agree with Susan; you packed a lot of story into very few words!

Thanks for visiting me over @ The Infamous! Happy New Year to ya πŸ™‚

@southlakesmom Go to the beach! Shed the sack, and let’s go surfing πŸ˜€ Thank you.

@Bill It was really quite fun to visit everyone writing these little stories! Happy New Year to you too.

@Jillien A pleasure to visit. As racy, bold, and magnificent as all my daughters and wife πŸ˜‰

    Thanks for dropping by everybody!
