Can't wait for "financial reform" to happen. They did such a bang-up job with Sarbanes-Oxley. And just like SOX they're ignoring the real problems. Before SOX, the big 4 auditing firms were asleep at the wheel during Enron, Worldcom, etc. After SOX, the big 4 auditing firms charge between 1.5 and 4.4 million annually to audit your company... Before FINREF, Freddie and Fannie backed toxic loans. After FINREF, everyone but Freddie and Fannie will be monitored... I'm not sure putting a bullet in the brain would stop any legislator these days. They appear capable of operating without them.
